     Ebookers.com is a leading online travel agency based in the UK, and is the European brand of Orbitz Worldwide . He is a former wholly owned subsidiary of Travelport , himself a former travel arm of Cendant which was bought in October 2006 by an affiliate of Blackstone Partners. Travelport is divided into three companies. Part of the activity related to the B2C arm is called Orbitz Worldwide and was introduced in the Nasdaq in July 2007 .

   Ebookers was formed in 1999 by Dinesh Dhamija , but its origins go back nearly 20 years. In 1983 Flightbookers Ltd. was founded , a travel agency in London with its main branches retailers Tottenham Court Road in London. Its most profitable output is based on Gatwick Airport in the lobby of London's Heathrow rail until the operation was opened in 2004.
